Biography
Alexander Lervik is a Swedish designer whose work spans furniture, lighting, product design and collectible design. His practice combines function, storytelling, technology and conceptual experimentation, moving between industrial production, limited-edition objects and design art.
Timeline
- 1972Born in Sweden.
- 1998Graduated from Beckmans College of Design, Stockholm. Graduation project 10 Stools — 10 Decades shown at Nationalmuseum, Stockholm.
- 1998–2005Early exhibitions and furniture projects. 10 Stools tours internationally for six years. Bright Handle for ASSA ABLOY presented in Milan.
- 2005–2015International collaborations across furniture, lighting and interiors, alongside experimental work and gallery exhibitions in Stockholm and Gothenburg.
- 2017Where the Light Leads, created with artist and musician Eva Dahlgren, presented during Stockholm Design Week.
- 2018Retrospective In the Mind of Alexander Lervik at Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, Stockholm — more than 200 objects.
- 2022Imaginations x12 at Sven-Harry’s Art Museum, Stockholm.
- 2023Ten international design awards received in a single year.
