Swedish, a recent graduate, proposes at Salone Satellite a project 100 years long, as many years as separate us from the beginning of the century. For each decade, a stool summarizes the climate of the era. All redesigned by Alexander, but only the last one, corresponding to his generation, is independently designed: like a solid children’s toy. To close an era (at least for the very young Alexander). At Salone

Satellite the newly graduated Swedish designer exhibited a project spanning the 100

years of our century. For each decade a stool epitomised the climate of its time. Lervink

has redesigned all of them except the last. representing his own generation. which is en-

tirely his own work. It looks like a solid, three-dimensional child’s game, and marks the

end of an era (at least for the youthful Lervink).
