ALEXANDER LERVIK

A great visionary and bold experimenter, Alexander Lervik was born in 1972 in Sweden. After two years of successfully studying engineering design, he entered the Beckmans design school, where he studied for 3 years.

Today, the talented designer designs interiors, pieces of furniture and hardware, takes part in the most famous design exhibitions, his ideas are universally recognized and are becoming fashion trends all over the world. Besides his design practice, the master teaches at the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm. Alexander Lervik is an iconic figure in the global design ranking.

SITTING ON A TV

TV CHAIR is a steel chair with built-in LCD screens, yet another interesting experiment by designer Alexander Lervik. A simple television is boring, the author believes; it is much more interesting to watch it in such an unusual form. Perhaps the designer is developing within himself tactile features of perceiving information through body parts. Sitting on the chair, one can easily find out what is happening in the world, the main thing is that the point on the body is properly tuned, even if it is the rear one.

Probably under the impression of visiting the VITRA design museum, Alexander Lervik created an unusual chair, ICON CHAIR. The most famous and iconic VITRA objects merged into one! 16 scaled-down copies can be viewed through the transparent plastic that united them into a new form, massive, stable, new and unexpected. Who said that by copying, one cannot create something new?!
