ALEXANDER LERVIK A New Artistic Chapter in Österlen

Alexander Lervik is opening a gallery during the art tour in Österlen, southern Sweden, and showcasing a collaboration with the historic glassworks Kosta Boda. Sixteen unique art glass pieces have been created, along with three vases made of diabase stone and monochromatic glass.

After 50 years in Stockholm, Alexander Lervik has taken his entire family and moved down to southern Sweden. The move is a strategic shift to get closer to the increasingly important Öresund region, with Copenhagen and Malmö just over an hour’s drive away.

“Within a couple of years, the Öresund region will be connected to northern Germany via the tunnel under the Fehmarn Belt. Furthermore, Österlen is Sweden’s most beautiful landscape and has a tradition of art tours dating back to the 1960s, so I see that my focus on collectible design has a future with this more European platform.”

The exhibition is open until April 12 in the studio at the four-winged farm where Alexander and his family live outside Simrishamn
