Alexander Lervik was born in 1972 in Stockholm, Sweden. He started his education in design as a carpenter apprentice j for two years, and then studied interior design and product design at Beckmans School of Design for three years (1995- 1998). His graduation project from Beckmans School -- the exhibition "Ten Stools-Ten Decades”, has toured around the world for six years, and has been seen by over one million people. He has successfully interpreted the past by making ten different stools, one for each decade During the years, Alexander has won numerous awards both home and abroad, such as Sweden Japan Foundation Award, Excellent Swedish Design, and Hardware Product of the Year 2002 etc.
