A precise pool of light, balanced on the finest possible line.
The Castor floor lamp translates the clear geometry of the original pendant into a freestanding form. Its cone-shaped aluminium shade meets the slender stem through a small side-entry tube — a quiet constructional detail that carries the power supply while leaving the silhouette clean and uninterrupted.
The shade can be tilted to place the light exactly where it is needed. As it moves, the relationship between cone, joint and stem remains composed from every angle. The result is both graphic and practical: a focused reading light with the presence of a finely drawn object in the room.
Produced by Noon, Castor demonstrates how a technical necessity can become the defining detail of a design.
