Skugga

Skugga is an object that only becomes complete when it is used.

When the candle is lit, a distinct star appears in the surrounding shadow. As the flame moves downward, the star slowly expands, spreading further into the room.

The lacquered, laser-cut steel structure is only half the work. The rest is created by flame, darkness and time.

Skugga takes one of the oldest forms of domestic lighting and gives it a new role. The candle does not merely illuminate the room. It draws within it.
